Salzburg Research organised the 6. e-Health Day: Diabetes-Selbstmanagement, a 1/2-day workshop with a focus on diabetes selfmanagement. Diabetes initiatives, projects and products from Austria were presented and discussed.

The eChallenges e-2014 Conference in Belfast, Northern Irland was organised from October 29-31,2014. The goals of eChallenges e-2014 are to promote ICT Entrepreneurship and Innovation, facilitate Information Society and Applied ICT related knowledge sharing between government, industry and research stakeholders.

The MIE2014 conference (European Medical Informatics Conference) took place in Istanbul, Turkey from August 31st – September 3rd, 2014. EMPOWER partners presented a Poster.

The Conference on Communication, Medicine and Ethics (COMET) took place in Lugaon, Switzerland from June 26-28, 2014. EMPOWER organised the panel “Support of patient empowerment by an intelligent self-management pathway for diabetic patients: Is this feasible?”

The 2014 Careum Congress is an event for all those working for a healthcare system which places patients at its centre.

Within the scope of 7th ATTD  (International Conference on Advanced Technologies & Treatments for Diabetes) which  takes place in  Vienna, Austria, between February 5-8 2014 a workshop will be organised giving an insight into diabetes projects funded by the 7th Framework Program (AP@home, REACTION, COMMODITY12, EMPOWER, GoCarb).

The REACTION Consortium organized a Clustering Event on Ambient Intelligence Advanced Technologies in Support of Healthcare and Assisted Living, on 26-27th September, 2013 in Crete, Greek.

The aim of the clustering event was to bring together 25 European projects for demonstrations, presentations of innovative solutions, and discussions of potential synergies and cooperation.
